Trigger Script with F1, F2, F3, F4, F5, F6 etc. Function Keys

Featured Replies

What is the easiest way to make the keyboard function keys (F1 through F12) operational to trigger FileMaker scripts?

Until now I used a macro software from

Macro Toolworks .

Thanks for any information in advance.

You could use FileMaker custom menus.

You could use the Keyboard & Mouse settings in your System Preferences.

Another nice option that I use is iKey.

Fitch, please post an example using custom menus that triggers a custom dialog with "Hello world" by pressing the "F5" key.

I think it is not possible.

Thank you for your efforts. Sincerely Ralph

You're right Ralph, I spoke too soon. The function keys don't appear to be assignable to custom menus, at least not on a Mac.

This will be available in the next release of MooPlug, hopefully within the next week or so :-)
