djc728 Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 Ok I have a script that opens up a layout, goes into find mode and now I want to search on a field BUT I need to be able to search for a word like "Apple" with the quotes included. How do I use the Set field command to set the field to "Apple" with the quotes? I know I'm missing a special character or something here. I guess in general the question becomes how do you search for special characters like quotes, @ signs, etc. using the Set field command. Thanks.
aldipalo Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 Try this. Also, "@" to find the @ sign in an email address. So, = Mary"@"yahoo.com
Lee Smith Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 (edited) There is a difference between Curly Quotes, and Straight Quotes, be sure you identify which quotes were used. HTH Lee Disclaimer I haven't had this come up since I moved to v7, so maybe this isn't a problem anymore. Edited August 20, 2008 by Guest Disclaimer
