Compliment in Disguise

Featured Replies

Here at work I've never felt very confident about my FileMaker development skills and wonder if what I've done is good enough. But today I think (or hope) that my abilities have just been paid a very nice compliment. The founder of my company has also founded a couple other and he sent some people (including their database developer) for the other company to get copies of application that I've developed.

At first I wanted to be like "No!" you can't have my databases they're ours. But I've realized that if he sent them over to ask he must be happy with my work even if he hasn't said so directly.

So maybe my skills are netter than I give myself credit for.

I guess some of the credit need to go to the great people here that have answer many of my questions.

If it isn't too late, put a Script for your Files like John Mark Osborne does called About.

Maybe I should the leave the JMO info so they don't come to me constantly for help. But John might have to field a few calls weird calls from people looking for help on something he knows nothing about.

Ahh, see I used to think like this too: annoyance. Now I think: $100 an hour. Seriously. ;)
