CDiez Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 Hi.. apologies in advance if this is really basic. I have a basic calculation that uses simple math based on two fields to show a ratio. However, the two fields are not always populated. Problem is, there are times when one of the fields is populated and the other is not. I want the result (calculated field) to be blank unless BOTH fields are populated. The "do not evaluate..." option only give me the result I want if both are blank, but if one is blank I get question marks in the result, which are annoying. Can someone point me to the SIMPLEST way to get blanks to come up unless both fields are populated? Would appreciate any advice...
Raybaudi Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 Case( not IsEmpty ( field1 ) and not IsEmpty ( field2 ) ; YOURcalcHERE ) If both fields are numbers, you can try this too: Case( field1*field2 ; YOURcalcHERE )
