Is there any way to have T-squares off by default in layout mode? Or at the very least, to have the on/off status saved with the layout? I'll turn them off, close the file, reopen the file, and the T-squares are back when I go into layout mode.

(these are hosted files, not local; not sure if that makes a difference)

Hosted vs. local makes all the difference. AFAIK you have to set the default for the T-squares when the file is un-hosted.
