Vaughan Posted October 11, 2008 Posted October 11, 2008 You need to define a global field to hold the last page number. Then you need to script the printing process so that it calculates the last page number and sets it into the global field... go to layout enter preview mode go to page [ last ] set field [ global ; get( pagenumber ) ] ... On the layout that's being printed you need to have a merge field for the global field... Page ## of <>
comment Posted October 11, 2008 Posted October 11, 2008 If the number of records per page is constant (i.e. no sliding and no forced page breaks), then the total page count can be pre-calculated.
Emma in England Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 (edited) Thanks Vaughan, that answered my question and also pointed me in the direction of omitting page numbers altogether if there is only 1, so thanks! Edited October 27, 2008 by Guest
