conditional formatting of text box not working

Featured Replies

I have a text box like:

texttext <>

text and field name are normally different colors

On a certain condition, I want both to be invisible on a white background, so I set the condition for the text color to be white. Under that condition, only the 'texttext' part of the box becomes white.

Anything I can do??

TIA

Make sure the data in field does not have a color attribute of its own.

it does! In the normal display, I wanted to set the field value apart from the text label.

Why won't a conditional format affect the entire box?

It does, but the color of the field must be setted at layout level, not in Browse Mode.

Infact, if you change that in Brouse Mode, the merge field will display the text of the field in the color that you choose.
