Newbies Rodney H Posted March 12, 2001 Newbies Posted March 12, 2001 Our setup: one database hosted on dedicated G4 runing FMPro Server 5, and seven workstation/clients (each with independent licenses of FM Pro 5). Every time we restart a workstation application the Page Setup defaults to 75% sizing. Each client can individually reset it to 100%, but once the application is "quit" and restarted, it reverts back to 75%. This is true of all the client workstations. Did not have this problem with older versions of FM Pro.
Newbies Rodney H Posted March 12, 2001 Author Newbies Posted March 12, 2001 Tried suggestion from byteworks but no luck. Still reverts to 75% on page setup unless manually changed. Note: the problems surfaces only when printing from Filemaker Pro... it's as if FMPro printing pref's default to 75%, but none of our other applications (Word, Netscape, etc.).
Lee J Posted March 12, 2001 Posted March 12, 2001 Are you printing via a Script step or just by selecting File menu, Print?
LiveOak Posted March 12, 2001 Posted March 12, 2001 It sounds like there is a FM script somewhere being executed that does a Page Setup (restore) step. Check and see what runs as a startup script. I suppose the step could also be embeded in a navigation script or such (not really good design). -bd [This message has been edited by LiveOak (edited March 12, 2001).]
DykstrL Posted March 13, 2001 Posted March 13, 2001 The page setup is coming from the file on the host (server?). You need to close that file and reset the page setup while it is not hosted.
Lee J Posted March 13, 2001 Posted March 13, 2001 Try deleting your Printer Preferences (system folder) then go to the chooser and setup your default printer again. Then restart FMPro and see what happens.
