November 3, 200817 yr Does anyone know how to send mass emails pertaining to the field contents. We have different showrooms. We need to send to all showrooms. We have a showroom field. I would like it so it opens up my Thunderbird email application with all the email addresses of that showroom in the BCC field of the email. And if there are no email addresses it just skips that record and goes to the next until it has all of the showrooms in there email addresses. Please help thanks. I can do a search and pull up all records i want to mail to. then i need to know how to get fm pro 9 to open up my default email program and insert all the email addresses from my email field from each record found. id like it them to be inserted into thunderbird under the bcc. ??

November 6, 200817 yr Filemaker has the capability to perform the task you seek, all on its own. Are you in position to import the email addresses? If so, you're all set. Create the email content and create a script to either email individually or mass email all. You could go so far as to have the script send an email pertinent to the individual showroom.......Now all I need is to learn how to have Filemaker allow me to address each email by recipient name, in the body of each email.
November 6, 200817 yr Author that is the problem. i dont know how to use scriptmaker to do this. what is the code to gather all email addresses across found set and input them into my default email programs bcc field. and how do i make the code step by step. thats the problem i try to do this via scriptmaker but i have no clue what im doing or how to do it?
November 6, 200817 yr Take a look at this file. I believe it comes with the BPS package. The file has all the scripts etc. Basically, you would need to add it to your application and change the fields in the scripts to match your fields. Not sure it is exactly what you need but it should help get you going in the right direction. The email addresses must be resident in your FM application. Email_Campaign_Management.zip
