Creating Conditional Formatting What Dates

Featured Replies

How would I do a calculation in conditional formatting the would say "turn the text red if it is before today's date." I am getting suck on the date part. How would I specify a changing date like that?

Hi kkangas,

First a couple of questions.

What is the date for, does if have its own field, or are you hard coding it in the calculation, and how does it relate to the text?

in other words,

If today is the 13th, what date is the change in the text suppose to take place.

This is what I would like to accomplish:

We have credit card numbers and expiration dates (in two separate fields). I would like the expiration date to turn red when it has expired, so it alerts people.

I was thinking of using conditional formatting, but if you have another suggestion, I am all ears!

Try

Self > Get ( CurrentDate)

It worked! Thank you so much!

You can also use:

Value is After Today. I frequently forget about the cool pre-defined options for Conditional Formatting!
