mleiser Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 All of a sudden when I try the shortcut on my workstation it gives me a java message with a lot of gobblygook info. If I go into http://localhost:16000 I get it to work. How can I create a new shortcut on my desktop and have the start, programs, server work?
IdealData Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 AFAIK the console application is a java applet that FMS distributes on demand. When FMS is updated, upgraded o some of the server features change (IP Address?) the applets become redundant. Did you try: http://your.server.ip.address:16000 This should download a new applet to your workstation.
mleiser Posted November 19, 2008 Author Posted November 19, 2008 I tried that before. It starts everything up but doesn't create anything on my workstation so I always have to do that to get into the server. The icon on my desktop and the program in start programs give me the same boc with a lot of java information. Can't copy and paste it to show you. Any other ideas?
Steven H. Blackwell Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 Have you installed any updates or patches to your work station? Or to the server OS? Such updates are a frequent cause of the type problem you report. Steven
