Andrew5 Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 (edited) I have FM 9 Advanced, 1 copy. I have two users, 2nd user is currently using only IWP (because that's what I know how to do). Problem: user #2 needs to print and printing from the browser is insufficient. I do not need the data on a server; indeed, it's preferable at this time to keep the file stored on user #1's (my) computer. Question: what is the cheapest way to get user #2 to be able to print straight from FM? Both computers are Mac OS X, one Tiger one Leopard. Edited January 3, 2009 by Guest
IdealData Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 Once you have your new license then you can "serve" (in FM world we call it "hosting") the file on the primary machine and the second user can access the file through the FILEMAKER SHARING. FM9 supports 9 (nine) FM clients and 5 IWP clients. The sharing capabilities are the same for FM9 or FM9 Advanced. You must not allow the second user to access the file DIRECTLY via Mac OS.
