It seems like this should be a standard function, but I am at a loss.

I will be importing books (key = ISBN number) into an existing database. I would like the import process to SKIP any book records (read: ISBNs) that already exist.

Can someone tell me how (if) this will work?

Define the ISBN field to be unique, validate always.

Outstanding. When I run an ADD New Records import with these settings, it functions as I hoped. The one new test record was added, and none of the existing items were disturbed (though they were part of the import test file).
