FM 10 - Button setup freezes layout

In FileMaker 10 (new real version) in "Edit Layout":

When I try to go to "Button Setup", the layout freezes to the point that I have to do a force quit.

I have a new MacBook Pro 2.8Gh/4GB/128GB SSD with all updates. I have tried a recover on the File without success.

Any ideas?

This only happens in this one file? This one layout? I can't duplicate on iMac 10.5.6, FM10.0v1

It appears that another user had to be created (also with Administrator capabilities) to run the application. It remains a mystery as to why the original user could not do certain functions in FileMaker.

Also, repairing the disk and partition permissions did not solve the problem.
