Server 9 and XP Professional

I would like to experiment with the PHP web options in Filemaker Server 9 and have a question.

Can I use the web features when running XP professional as the OS or do I have to have Server 2003 or 2008?

Unless they fixed the problems in SP 3 of XP pro, that OS does not work correctly for the Web Publishing Engine with Server 9 or Server 9 Advanced.

Did you consider a used (or even new) Mac Mini?

I even had Server 9 running on a G4 based Power Mac!!!

thanks, I hadn't considered that although I purchased a Dell quad core only 6 months ago so ideally I would like to use that.

If Vista Business works thats only £100 or so.

Anybody out there who can confirm this will work?
