Hi there,

I need some general advice of how to set up a sorted list in Filemaker

1. I have a list of hotel names that has to be sorted by certain criteria (for example ommit certain prepositions like "The" as in "The Berlin Hotel")

2. These criterias should be configurable and overrideable.

3. Output in a sort_field that is used in another application to create the desired order.

OR

Have the whole list sorted by hand, but still I would ask what kind of field to use and what numbering conventions...

Maybe you can lead me in the right direction...
