Hi..i have a relationship with 4 AND matches in it...one of these matches follws the format

P4526.468

now does the point (.) make a difference because im getting all P4526's match.. its like its not taking notice of whats after the "."

Check the data type of the field; it should be text, not number.

Otherwise the period is just another character to the relationship engine.

A number field would still differentiate between "P4526.468" and "P4526.5". A file showing the issue would be useful here.

Yes, but maybe not the "P" at the front and any leading or trailing zeros.
