Multiple Drop-Down Lists

Featured Replies

Hello,

Hoping to get some advice on the attached file.

I am trying to track leads coming into my business. I have categories, and then subcategories. I would like to select the Major Lead Source, and then more specifically list the Minor Lead Source based on the first selection. I have attached the file to show what I'm hoping to accomplish.

Thanks in advance to anyone able to help!

David

Not quite sure exactly what you require but on a quick glance at your file there are no IDs to link your tables to create the value lists.

Hi there,

I downloaded the file and made some modifications so it does as you desire.... You will see i created two new tables for major lead type and minor lead type, as well as two table layouts to enter data for each... Also on teh 'Record Detail' layout there is a Script Trigger on the 'Major' popup menu to clear the 'Minor' one if the 'Major' one is changed... Check it out and see if this works for you...

cheers,

Sky.

Hello Sky,

Thanks for the quick response, and the perfect solution. Not only have you answered my first question, but you've preempted my next question which was how to keep the "Minor" field blank until selected. Your script handles this perfectly.

Regards,

David
