dtrots Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 Before upgrading to Filemaker 10, whenever I ran a script to open the default email client, Outlook would open a new window and would be ready to complete the email. Now, after the upgrade, a window appears that says another application is trying to use outlook, is this ok? Then you hit "ok" and the new email message just sits in the outbox waiting to be sent. Is there a security setting to change it get it back to opening a new "compose message" window?
kiwiora Posted March 13, 2009 Posted March 13, 2009 Strange that it would change from upgrade as it would be a setting in your script. Go to the Send Email step and untick the box that says "perform without dialog" at the bottom of screen. It isn't a security setting as such. However if you do try to send an email automatically using outlook it will always ask you to confirm to ensure you're not infected with the worm virus which was using your contact book to send repetive emails to all and sundry.
dtrots Posted March 13, 2009 Author Posted March 13, 2009 That did it - thank you. Not sure why FM10 works different.
