Are you saying that you want to create a new record, complete the fields and THEN assign it a key field ID?

If this is so, then you could use a layout of global fields, that after user completes and clicks a Save button, the script creates a new record and uses Set Field steps to populate the fields with the corresponding global fields that were on the data entry layout.

But why? Hopefully, it's not the "we need to keep our IDs in sequential order" thing.
