Jarvis Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 (edited) Is there a way to toggle the script debugger on or off from the keyboard? Edited March 15, 2009 by Guest
Fenton Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 (edited) You could go to your Keyboard & Mouse Preference Pane, Keyboard Shortcuts tab, and create a command key shortcut, for FileMaker app, for "Script Debugger" (I think you have that on Panther?). The way I usually use it however, is this free tool, which puts an icon in the Menu bar: http://www.fmdiff.com/fmmenulet.html Oops! You can't use it on Panther. "Added check for minimum system requirements (10.4.0)." [Rant] The little round buttons that Apple uses for such things as closing windows are too small. They are an ergonomic PITA (hand actually), a case of form over function. Edited March 15, 2009 by Guest
Fitch Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 I like iKey: http://www.scriptsoftware.com/ikey/ But again, 10.4 is min. requirement. @Fenton, FMMenulet is very nice, but since I discovered I can customize my Status Toolbar with Debugger and Data Viewer buttons (in FM10), I'm spreading that as the gospel.
Fenton Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 Another (free, beta) lightweight alternative to iKey is Spark; also 10.4 requirement.
