gregorytan Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 Hi I create a Delivery Order Form. In side the Form I have Order Qty, Per Pallet Qty and 20 field of Pallet and Time. Here I try use the calculation engine, when I key in the Order Qty at the Qty field like 2550 set and I want per pallet have 500 set. So we need 5 pallet with 500 set and 1 pallet 50 set. Is they any way when we put in the Order and per pallet, on the pallet field were auto calculation and show 500 set and give me 5 pallet of 500 and 1 pallet of 50 (like I show in my file attach). Thanks gregory DO_copy.fp7.zip
gregorytan Posted April 7, 2009 Author Posted April 7, 2009 Hi Comment Thanks for your reply. I need to show on individual Pallet 1 500, Pallet 2 500, Pallet 3 500 and so on until last Pallet 50. Thanks Cheers gregory
gregorytan Posted April 7, 2009 Author Posted April 7, 2009 Hi This is to show my customer every pallet what time we finish. What we do now is I go pallet by pallet to put in the amount. If we can have the auto set in that were be good. Thanks Cheers gregory
comment Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 I am not sure that's a good arrangement to have. I believe there should be an individual RECORD for each pallet in a related table. In a pinch, you could use repeating fields. In the long run, that's a dead end too - but at least with repeating fields you can import them into a related table, while breaking them into separate records. DO3.fp7.zip
gregorytan Posted April 7, 2009 Author Posted April 7, 2009 Hi Comment Thanks for your help. That look good for me, I'll try it. Thanks cheers gregory
gregorytan Posted April 7, 2009 Author Posted April 7, 2009 Hi Comment When you said can import into a related record, I not that know how to do that. Is there any way to brake the repeating field into two? That said the repeating more that 100 and we can put it into A4 size paper. Thanks gregory
Vaughan Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 Comment said "... at least with repeating fields you can import them into a related table, while breaking them into separate records." When importing records with repeating fields, FMP offers the option to split the repeating values into separate records. This is the option he was referring to.
comment Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 Is there any way to brake the repeating field into two? You can put as many repetitions of a field on a layout as you like - if that's what you mean (double-click the field to see the options). You can also set them to shrink, so that empty repetitions do not print. That said the repeating more that 100 and we can put it into A4 size paper. I am not sure what that means.
gregorytan Posted April 7, 2009 Author Posted April 7, 2009 Hi Comment What I means is the number of repetitions is more than 100 repeating and my record page size is only an A4 size. When gp to print some of the repeating is out the page size. Any way that we split it to two column? Thanks gregory

gregorytan Posted April 7, 2009 Author Posted April 7, 2009 Hi Comment Try to set the below, but can't have make it to two field "If a repeating field is defined to display up to eight repetitions, you could format one field object to display the first four repetitions, and another field object to display the last four repetitions." Cheers gregory
