Finding results not the way I want them.

Featured Replies

I am trying to do some find requests using scripts.

On the first find, I would like "active=y, sex=men, inyrend=y" that works fine. In another script, I want "active=Y, sex=women, inyrend=Y", but it keeps show the results of the first find of some other find. Why cant we just save the finds? This way i could make all my find requests, then call them as I need them. Lotus approach allows that, or in Access their queries.

Create a Script for each find.

Also just as an FYI. FM10 allows for saving finds now for end end user.

Can I use these saved finds in a script?

Version 8 does NOT have a save find feature, it didn't come native to FileMaker until the Release of Version 10. Prior to this, you can save a find by creating a script using the Find that you want.
