mtpaper
Hi - first of all, thanks for such prompt, clear support. I've had data in FileMaker for about 6-8 months, since I moved to the Mac, but I haven't worked with it until now. So I'm here with questions. I created two layouts, and I think I didn't deal properly with the sort when I created them. Now I have it done the way I want, but, when I switch from layout to layout, the sort order doesnt' seem to be saved with the layout. Is that possible to do, and how? Thank you- Marion
Søren Dyhr
Via a carthesian selfjoin, could each layout have it's own sortorder like the tabs facilitate in this template: http://www.databasepros.com/FMPro?-DB=resources.fp5&-lay=cgi&-format=list.html&-FIND=+&resource_id=DBPros000691 --sd
comment
the sort order doesnt' seem to be saved with the layout. The sort order is NOT saved with the layout. A layout has no sort property. You probably want to script this, e.g. Go to Layout A Sort Records [ Restore ] In version 10, you can trigger a script to run on layout load.
