Sub-Layouts

I think it would be very useful to have "Sub-Layouts" instead of "Portals".

They would serve the same function as portals, but be more flexible.

I think Bill means having the layout be like a web mash up of various layouts. IOW, not restricting the layout to be based solely one one TO, but rather an ability to divvy up the layout into subsections where you could use something like list view in a certain section rather than having to use a portal.... Sorta like how the web viewer sections an area off.

I agree. FM could benefit tremendously with a feature as such.

You are correct, John.

It might be helpful for them it completely independent, but even if they had to be based on a connected TO. I think it could be quite useful. Particularly, when dealing with "finds" and "sorts" that have nothing to do with the Main Layout.
