FileMaker Bundle is Volume Licence

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a question about FileMaker 10 multi user bundles campaigns.

The purchased licence will be like volume licence for this bundles.

If yes, I want to understand what is volume licence clearly. Is it possible to use 5 user pack with a server (running fm sever 10) and 5 additional machines (each of them runs fmp 10).

What is pros and cons of volume licensing (or bundle campaign)

Thanks in advance

Osman Cabi

I don't know about anywhere else, but here in the UK FileMaker sell typically sell a volume licence bundle as:

FMS 10 x 1

FMP 10 x 5/10/20/50/100/whatever

You get two licence keys, one for a single use of FMS, the other for your licenced number of FMP10.

FMS and FMP are different products: you can't buy 5 licences of FMP10 and use 1 on the server and 4 for client machines.

Hope that helps. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

I want to run FMS on server (1st machine), and the rest 5 machine (2nd to 6th) will run FMP. Is it ok?

And an other issue is changing client machine. Some times we renew our computers. Will I able to install FMP on new machine instead of old one. Is there any precedures to do before changing machine?

Thanks
