Hello, not sure if this is the right place ...

I use FM6. Previously using the mouse scroll would scroll through records. Now for some reason it scrolls the page up/down in a single record.

I'm not aware of making any change. Does someone know about this and how I can get it back to scrolling records?

Thanks for any help!

Mouse activity could be being controlled by the mouse drivers or settings.

I use FM9 and the scroll on mine will move through records.

When on form view, the scroll will move through records (staying at the top of the form as it does). When on List view, it will scroll down the body (if the body is very long). If there are multiple records and a long body, it will always stay on the same record (although it will display the next records as it scrolls) and same with table.

If you are on form view and you have a portal and you click the portal scroll then begin scrolling your mouse, it will scroll the portal records.

At least this is behavior I've experienced.

Thank you very much IdealData and LaRetta for your replies.

I realize the problem is entirely self-created - I had installed Katmouse to allow the scrolling of windows under the mouse without needing to select the window first. After telling Katmouse to ignore Filemaker the problem is resolved.

Sorry to be a bother with a self-inflicted issue, and thanks again for your help!

If the Status area with the Rolodex is visible, the scrolling will flip from record to record. Without the status area showing, it just scrolls the screen.

Without the status area showing, it just scrolls the screen.

Only if both hidden and locked. It will not scroll the length of the layout in form view at all (even if there are fields two 'pages' down). But the scroll may also depending upon the OS version and mouse.
