Arny
I'm contemplating purchasing a Zebra barcode direct thermal printer for my supplies inventory management, but not sure if I need any special printer drivers. I've not met anyone who's used a barcode printer directly from Filemaker, but it seems to me that a standard driver would be sufficient. Any Advice
genr8er
Wow, that's funny, I am building a solution and we are considering that exact model. I am proposing right now and trying to figure out a way to test the output from FMP without buying the printer first.
mr_vodka
I dont know about that particular model of Zebra, but in my experience I have had issues with FileMaker playing nice with Zebra printers. Although I didnt have issues with getting it to print, it was really slow printing shipping labels / retail tags with barcodes coming from FileMaker. There was a half second pause between each label instead of a steady stream you normally get with a Zebra. Using other applications with the same Zebra, it flew. Arny
John; did you need to load a special driver, or was it provided by Zebra with the printer purchase? I'm not too concerned about the speed since I'm dealing in low volumes. Thanks for the input Arny
