I recently bought the iPhone and am hesitant in purchasing Bento. I have ID Tag databases in FMP7. Can I use these db's on the iPhone?

Unlike Bento for iPhone, FM doesn't run on an iPhone. You can, however, use the PHP site assistant to create a CWP site that you can access from your iPhone.

No, Bento is not a FMS client.

To clarify,

Bento is made by FileMaker Inc as a personal database tool. It has no relation to their main "FileMaker Pro" product and in no way links, connects or interacts with it.

If you're looking for something on the iPhone to hook into a FileMaker Pro database, then you can look at CWP or FMTouch [www.fmtouch.com] as was suggested above.

In this case, the iPhone part has no direct link. I could use any smart phone with a connection.
