I have a group of text in a field. and also another one field having a single word.

My question is:

How can in find the line No from the the grop of text for the single word.

can you give us an example of a "group of text " ?

line number is relative to your definition of it.

IF you mean the wrapping that FileMaker does natively in a field then I dont think you have much options.

However, if you mean the true line number ( separated out by carriage returns ) this could be done by using a Position function.
