Hi,

I just upgraded to 10A and I went to make a blank layout and it has lines all over it...I cant tell where the page ends? These are not the ruler lines, these look like page breaks both horizontal and vertical (broken spirals).

Is there a way to turn these off?

Perhaps in Layout Setup you have in the Printing tab, more than 1 column?

Also check the print setup, especially the page size.

Thanks, I just found it...it came out of the box that way?:

bcooney...While you are here, I hate to ask you for this, but I read a post that you had that was a while back.

You stated that you had created a script that would extract the old data from a Runtime and then import it back.

I have just started Playing around with Runtimes (we have 3 working at our agency now) and I was wondering if I could see an example of what you wrote? I Have tried to follow a couple of examples here but have yet to have success.

Thanks,

Jim

Hi Jim. Yes, I have gained 10yrs of gray hair working with updating runtimes.

I don't extract data and import it back, unless you're referring to distributing a new runtime and scripting the process of importing the data from the old runtime into the new. Is that want you meant? There's an old post on here somewhere...I'll look.

Yes, sorry, it was relating to pushing out a new runtime.

My ultimate goal when I get the hang of this stuff is to take a FM db we use at work and put it out to other law enforcement agencies in the area, and I need a way to get an update to them if one is made.

Thanks again...wow I cant find anything in 10A

Not really any instructions in any FM manual that I found, except for a brief mention of importing and exporting in the Developer's Guide at the bottom of p.16.
