Fields resizing based on size of Filemaker window

Featured Replies

How do i 'turn off' the function for fields to automatically increase in size based on the width of the FileMaker Program?

In the layout mode a field looks to be normal, but when i am in browse mode, they expand depending on maximizing the Filemaker Pro window or created a wider windowed version of the program.

Please help cause its driving me crazy!

It's turned off by default, so you're probably working with a file made by someone else (and not in version 6 either).

Hi Jerrad, and welcome to the forum.

i am using one of the default templates that comes with FMP.

If the template out of the box, meets all of your current needs, that's great. However, they are limited, and IMO intended to demonstrate how [color:blue]a tasks may be accomplish, however, they are not perfect, they don't have a lot of the bells and whistles in them that you may require, or desire, nor do they use the latest methods. They often use Repeating Fields instead relationships, which can really mess you up when decide you want them as related files.

Thanks for the advice Lee. I'm not much of a power user when it comes to FMP, so out of the box is sophisticated enough for me!

Thanks.
