Is scrolling in List View referenced in any calculation?

Featured Replies

When I view records as a list, is how far I've scrolled or my distance from the top referenced in any calculation?

Thanks.

No, I don't believe it is. What are you trying to achieve?

What about:

H + Get ( RecordNumber ) * B

( where H is the Header Height and B is the Body Height )

You can scroll down and view record #1000, while the "current" record is still record #1.

Further down the list, I would imagine...

It's for kind of a superficial purpose:

I have a layout displaying records in a list view sandwiched between a header and a footer, which obviously don't move when you scroll.

I have some "fade out" lines (color-filled, empty textboxes) leading into the list from the footer and the header. I only want to display the fade out lines when the list is NOT all the way at the top or the bottom, respectively.

This is sort of the effect I'm looking for:

The list sort of "tucks in" to show that there are more records above/below.

I can't use transparency, obviously, so I was just looking to use conditional formatting to switch between a solid edge of the header/footer and a gradient.

Thanks for all the replies.
