FMS 9.0.3.326 on Windows XP

been working fine, until I decided I wanted to log in to change some backup schedules. I get the "Admin Server Connection Error" after creating a new schedule, and then adding my login info for a script.

so I have read all the posts that I can find. I have rolled back my Java version to 1.6_07 (also tried 1.6_05 only)

all the ports needed are open. any ideas? somewhere there was the advice to turn off web proxies. I'm a bit of a novice, so not sure how to do that. I'd like to keep the internet available to the server machine if I need to download/install any future updates.

are you trying the admin consoel on the XP machine itself? What happens if you try the admin console from another machine. Can you reach the main admin web page? Can you launch the admin console remotely?
