FMSA 10 install program ScriptMaster

Featured Replies

Script Master does not show up in my list of plugins.

Here are the steps I have taken:

Download fresh copy

Copied plugin out of mac folder and into:

Server HD/Library/FileMaker Server/Database Server/Extentions

I then ran

sudo chmod 777 360Works_ScriptMaster.fmplugin

sudo chown fmserver 360Works_ScriptMaster.fmplugin

sudo chgrp fmsadmin 360Works_ScriptMaster.fmplugin

The plugin does not show up in the list of available plugins on server admin.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Drew

Hi Drew -Do you mean 'Extensions', not 'Extentions'?

Assuming they are in the 'Extensions' folder, have you stopped and started FileMaker Server? New plugins will not appear until the database server is stopped and started.

Also, it should not be necessary to change any permission settings (although it shouldn't hurt either).

Thanks for the help Jesse! Restarting did the trick... too bad fmi does not include that step in their help that I found. Here is all I found:

1.

Place plug-ins in the proper folders so that FileMaker Server can use them.

For details, see Folders for server-side plug-in files.

2.

In Admin Console, click the Database Server > Server Plug-ins tab.

3.

Select Enable FileMaker Server to use plug-ins.

The list shows the plug-ins that are in the plug-in folder.

4.

Select Enabled for each plug-in that you want to execute on FileMaker Server.

5.

Click Save.

Yeah, that's kind of an important omission...

Glad it's working!
