Applescript Novice... should be easy?

Featured Replies

Hello,

I am trying to find out how to write an applescript that when an email is received it would cause a FileMaker script to run. Should be easy, right? I tried to Google this and you'd think it be easy to find but I can't. Everytime I Google it I find articles on how to make FileMaker run an Applescript, but I need the opposite. I apologize if this is very basic and a 'dumb' question.

Vandy.

Here's what I need to happen...

Apple Mail receives a mail and based on rules in mail it would run an applescript that would tell a certain filemaker file (there might be more than one open at one time) to execute a filemaker script.

See if this helps:

Comment have covered how to reach a filemaker script, but as such is the script called by a rule in your mail app. In Apples own is it pretty straight forward ...and I would believe Entourage caters for similarities?
