Export and Import Questionaiire, preferably as pdf

Featured Replies

I have an ideal solution to this, but I am not allowed to implement it yet, so I am trying to figure out a work-around.

Ideally, this layout would work perfectly if I could setup the IWP, and have people remotely login to fill this information out. That can't happen at the moment, so I have to come up with an alternative.

We have a very nice looking Questionairre as a layout. So we were thinking, maybe we could save it as a PDF, email it to a person, have them fill it out, then import it back in.

Of course, when we save it to PDF, you can't edit any of the fields... anyway to change that?

Also, I don't know how we would then get the data back into the database.

Any suggestions? It doesn't have to be a PDF, but we would like to keep the look of the layout if possible.

You'd need some third-party tools for both tasks - not exactly suitable for a temporary workaround.

IMHO, the most convenient method would be to use a web site - either your own or an online survey service.

I don't know if any of the material in this article will help, but there is a hint in the comments about possibly pulling data in from PDF's:
