Tony Martin
Hey all - I need to create a mirror-like server setup for one of our clients. They are having issues with their ISP which makes their database access slow as heck to and from us. I was wondering if anyone has successfully "mirrored" FMS10ADV databases somehow, and if you have, please explain how you did it, any caveats, etc. Essentially what I'm looking for is a mirroring of the database as quickly as possible when their internet is "good", and a synching later when it's down, very slow or whatever. We also have reps in India who report long lag times accessing our DB's here in the states, and I could see this as being a solution for them as well. I realize this is probably not a "best practice", but a scenario of synching or mirroring during idle time or something like that won't be an issue with this particular database scheme. Trying to save a support call to FM *grin* Thanks! T
