Rich K. Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 Hi -- I have just imported 30000 recs from MySQL. I built a layout to my target FMPro table, and did a File > Import Records > ODBC Datasource and used my odbc connection to mysql ... The import went smooth and it stated no problems. However, now that I try to "Perfom Find" on the "target layout" ... It states "THis script cannot be found or has been deleted." However, I can still view the data, and it "looks" alright to me. Do I have a corruption on my hands? Regards, --Rich
Rich K. Posted August 18, 2009 Author Posted August 18, 2009 LaRetta -- Hmm ... I did a find by using a script and it worked fine ... The issue here is that this file "used to" store the GUI and the Data. The file was actually copied and all the scripts were erased except for a handful and this became the new "Data File". The other file "GUI File" had all its TOs re-pointed to the new "Data File". I am of course doing all this importing on the Data File ... so, I think there are some scripts that are partially dismantled that are crying. Thanks, --Rich
JesseSFR Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 Rich your problem with the find not working may be that you have custom layouts installed on that file because it used to be a GUI file. You can either fix that custom menu or just switch to the standard filemaker menus and your problem should go away.
mr_vodka Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 BTW, off topic, but sorry I had to take off like that during dinner. I forgot that I had plans with a friend that lived there. I hope someone enjoyed the soup. :
JesseSFR Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 It was delicious.... we had some ridiculous deserts as well. No problemo it was a crazy week and besides I got a free soup out of it.
