Portal sorting for ascending and desscending

Featured Replies

  • Newbies

I have a Table A and related with Table B.

In Table A layout i have a portal with Table B records.

Portal fields are ID, Full Name, Date.

I need to sort the portal records by name, id and date in ascending and descending by some button action. (ie) Toggle the sorting of portal records.

I have finished this task by creating many tabs and placing the portals. Sort ID by ascending in one tab and descending in another tab.

Please help me to find a solution using any other ways other than tab idea.

If you enter "portal sorting" in Google, you'll get lots of hits. Here's a link to the Excelisys Portal Sort technique: Link

Indeed if scripting is some sort of "the journey is the reward in itself" ... but I prefer this one instead:

Soren, the OP did not want to use hidden tab panels.

You mean what LaRetta gets nightmare about, probably because she isn't using Clipmanager 3.

I agree with LaRetta. I dislike "hidden" or layered objects on a layout. Try coming back to that 1yr later to troubleshoot.
