Jarvis Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 Not sure where to put this question. Is there a way to "lock" a record so that nobody can make a change to it unless the record has been "unlocked"?
IdealData Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 FM records are automatically locked once a field has been edited, or a web (IWP) client has selected a field. The record is unlocked when it has been saved/submitted. Te other type of "lock" that people refer to is to prevent a record from being edited permanently, unless expressly permitted. Often this is achieved through a "flag" field and then using the acces privileges to define the editing capabilities based the "flag".
