Upgrading SuperContainer -- Authentication Error

Featured Replies

Currently, I'm running SuperContainer 2.2 on a Mac running 10.411, along with FMSA 10.0.1.64.

When I try to upgrade to SuperContainer 2.61, I get an "Installation Error: Authentication failed, incorrect password" after entering in the System Admin Password.

The password is definitely correct. I ran a couple of sudo commands via the terminal just to be sure there wasn't a problem with the password.

Not sure what to do next. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

Yvonne

I have the same issue when trying to roll back from 2.61 to an older version of SC. Installing 2.61 goes fine.

After upgrade to 2.61 thumbnails for TIFF and EPS images fail to show.

RK, what OS are you experiencing this issue on? I see that the OP is on 10.4.

I have found further issues with SuperContainer 2.6. If your file set include an Mac application (a package) and you later ask Supercontainer to delete the file, the file will be deleted but its folder will not. Secondly, Supercontainer is unuable to upload files that you have placed in the FileMaker temp directory.

I'm on 10.5.8. Apparently, I could upgrade to 2.63/downgrade to 2.56 only using Installer.jar from 2.62 (copy it to 2.56 or 2.63 folders).
