New related Record on another layout

Hi,

I'm new to Filemaker and I would like to create a button with following functions:

1. go to layout "..."

2. create a new record

3. put in id (into foreign key field )from the related record (Record I was looking before using the button)

4. now the user should complete the other fields by itself

I know how to do this with portals and automatic creation of related records but in my case I would like to do the same thing but on another layout instead of portal.

Could you give me some hints?
