holstermedia Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 Ok - how does SC name the thumbnails and folders? one example I have is original filename: JJ29924 a3.tif folder: 200x200o thumbnail: JJ29924 a3_tif.jpg so is it: tifs - replace .tif with _tif.jpg folder name 200x200o jpgs - keep as they are... folder name 200x200o png - keep as they are... folder name 200x200t and other filetypes? None of this is documented on the 360works site...
shmert Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 Thumbnails are saved as either PNG or JPG. So if the original file is not a PNG or JPG, the new file extension is added onto the filename. Also, the directory the thumbnail is placed in contains an identifier for the max width, height, resolution, and possibly other parameters specified in the URL. This enables SuperContainer to locate the cached files for a given HTTP request.
