mleiser Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 I currently have FM9 server and running FM9 on my workstations. Since I'm limited in time, I would like to start slowly with FM10, so my questions are: Can I put up FM10 server up on a new Vista machine and continue to run my current applications with FM9 on the workstations? Then again, can I put FM10 on some workstations, keep FM9 server running and keep using my applications running some with FM9 on the workstation and some running FM10 on the workstation? Mike
David Jondreau Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 Sure, that's no problem. The only problem is if you're running FMS 9 or client 9, you won't be able to access any of the 10 features.
mleiser Posted September 25, 2009 Author Posted September 25, 2009 That's fine. For now I just want it to run as is. When I'm all up and running with 10, I'll start using the new features. Thanks.
Steven H. Blackwell Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 Be sure you have applied most recent v-rev updaters to both versions. There were some initial issues with 10 in a mixed version environment. Steven
mleiser Posted September 29, 2009 Author Posted September 29, 2009 Thanks. I'll make sure to do that.
