Just installed FMserver 5 on a xp professional box amd mp1800 with raid and 1 gig of ram. FM server won't start either from the command line or service control panel. Any suggestions? xp is telling me to contact the software vendor pertaining to an error 51

Error 51 means there is already a copy of server running on your network with the same serial number. FileMaker Server software is serialized - meaning only one copy with the install code will run.

XP Professional is not an OS certified for FileMAker Server 5.

Or maybe it is the same server already started as service. Are there any files for serving?
