I am using FM Server 5.5 running on Mac OSXserving 50+ files to 150+ users with great results. My uptimes are in the order of months not days like my 9.x.x Server. I solved the backup problem by wrtiting a shell script to pause and backup my databases. Performance has increased by a very small margin but seems to deliver better perfomance than 9.x.x when under heavy load.

It just runs all the time. No problems EVER. I cannot say that about my 9.x.x server.

You need FM Unlimited.

If your traffic is low as up to 10 unique IP in 12-hour window or you just want to test you will use standard FM client.

In both cases you must enable WebCompanion.
