Hello! I'm trying to create a dynamic layout that changes the number of pages depending on what the user selects. For example, I want the user to start off with one page of general information. This is already done and is normal. I have a field that is default "1" (for 1 page), and I want to be able to change this field to tell filemaker to add more pages because I want to add more information on multiple pages. So if I type in "3" in that field, I want Filemaker to add 2 other pages automatically to the same record (equivalent to dragging the BODY splitter down manually) so I can display other info.

Is this possible?

thanks!

No, you can't control layout parts programmatically. You might want to think about using a tab object. If you really want to stick with your concept, you could make several layouts, and use script triggers (with FM9 you'd need a plugin) to go to the target layout when you type the number.

What are you trying to accomplish? You can make a scrolling text field for data entry and then make a huge tall layout for printing, set to slide up and reduce the size of the part.
