Darren Burgess Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 I want to deauthorized and uninstall filemaker server 10 from one machine and install it on another. Is it necessary or possible to deauthorize the install on the old machine before installing on the new one? This is on an OS X 10.5 system. Darren Burgess
Vaughan Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 You cannot have two servers running the same code: the second server will fail to start. It would be possible to install on the second machine without it connected to the network so it's ready to roll-out and replace the other machine.
IdealData Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 Or possibly even download the FMSA trial which runs for 30 days, then upgrade the license key.
Steven H. Blackwell Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 Simply uninstall the first machine, and then install on the second machine. There is no authorization process for Server 10. Steven
