How to I go about protecting the app with serial numbers. Is there a service they can register to? Can someone just get me started on this. I have no experience with this. When you say, make an application, I assume you mean a FM Runtime? Try searching for posts about runtimes, as well. Remember, FM Runtimes are NOT multi-user systems. Brian Dunning has this article: http://www.briandunning.com/browse/browse0304.shtml Another way is to "personalize" the database, that is add the company name and address of the purchaser, and not allow them to change it.
